“Independencia”

Just as I didn’t plan the interviews, neither was my beginning as a teacher. Today I want to share with you, part of my story:

My nephew was 6 years old and he was in the first grade of school. His teacher had commissioned the presentation of a school act with her students for Independence Day.

She wanted the students danced a tango but she did not know how to dance it. My nephew told her that I danced,  and the teacher made me call.

We prepared a beautiful tango with the children and on the day of the presentation everyone was delighted with the performance.

The director of the institution introduced me and in front of all the public summoned me to give tango classes to the school’s children.

I couldn’t refuse it and thus, with those children my teaching role was starting…

The music to practice is the tango Independencia by different orchestras in different periods and 9 de Julio, (July the 9th) the Indepence Argentine Day. At the bottom is the tanda I prepared for you 🙂

It has been a very particular year and my wish is for all of us to recover our Independence from this virus!
